There's a scent for everyone. I love Scentsy, it's safe for my kids to be around and I can leave it on when I'm not home! Plus, there's so many awesome scents I always have a hard time picking just one!

Follicular Forrest

So, I went on vacation and Forrest had previously been growing facial hair again. He said he was gunna shave it while I was gone. I was a little sad cause I NEVER get to see him in facial hair cause he hates it, and that's putting in mildly!!!! Imagine my suprise when I came back to find my wonderful husband still fully goateed. I guess he got a couple complements on it at church and work and so on. Shortly after arriving home and several tickly kisses later, I gave my permission to shave, Only if I got to take progressive pictures as he shaved. The first look we have is the fully goateed, followed by the stache and a soul patch, followed by the copstache (My personal favorite on him, for reasons that make me laugh)(he just looks funny ok?) and lastly we have the Charlie Chaplin/Adolf Hitler, which ever you prefer. I thought this one was hilarious, and lopsided.

Lastly, we have him clean shaven. It's amazing how the years fall off when man shaves. Incidently Logan took this picture. I think we may have an aspiring Ansel Adams on our hands!

To My Little Logan

Today is a very Special day for you. Not only for you, but for your father and I. Today is the day you made us the happiest people on the Earth. Today is the day of your Birth. The day you came into our lives. 3 years ago this happened and it feels like it was just yesterday. We tried for a little over a year to concieve a baby, mommy wanted one so bad and had the hardest time waiting to have her dream come true. A couple days after mothers day, I found out I was expecting our first child. I knew, I just knew you were going to be a boy. We wanted a boy first so badly. (mommy's feeling a little emotional and having a hard time typing through tears here.) Mommy and Daddy had been talking before we were pregnant, Mommy has always liked the name Logan, What about Logan Russell I asked? As I said this name to your Daddy, the Spirit swelled in my heart and I knew this was a very special name. One of my children HAD to have this name. Russell was Mommy's Papa's name. Papa was a very special man to Mommy. He passed away many years ago when Mommy was 12. When Mommy couldn't have her kids yet on this Earth, she went to visit Papa's grave and asked Papa in a quiet moment if he would watch over her babies while he was in heaven with them. Mommy felt Papa near and a feeling of "you know I will." in her heart. We had our ultrasound and found out that you were indeed a little boy. You were due on the 14th, 27th and then the 30th of December. You however had other plans in mind. You wanted to stay in that nice warm environment. The Dr. wanted to induce us on the 5th of January. So, we went into the hospital and got induced. All was going well, until your heartbeat started dropping between Mommy's contractions. The Dr. wanted to do a C-Secton before it turned into an emergency. So, off to surgery Mommy went and you were born at 3:28 PM on the 5th of January. You were 8 lbs and 6 ozs. and 21 inches long. (no wonder mommy's ribs hurt!) You had a TON of red hair, it looked curly, but when it dried it was straight. You had the most unique cry I've ever heard it was a deep and throaty, nnngaaa nnngaaa sound. Daddy was so proud to have a little boy. We had a couple names for you, but knew pretty surely before we even thought of your name that it should be Logan Russell. Nothing else fit you. As you've grown the name has been appropriate. Papa was a very loving and patient man. You my son, are the embodiment of his personality. You have such a soft and gentle spirit about you. You love with your whole heart, you love your little brother and are so very careful and patient with him. You always have a ready smile for us and tell us you love us. You make us smile and laugh with the silly things that come out of your mouth. You are a wonderful and protective big brother, you're mommy's little mother hen. You love to watch mommy cook and love to figure out how things are made. You know how to count to 10, and say your ABC's. You're smart, if you don't know how something works, you figure it out. I cherish each day I spend with you. Though I may not show it all the time, I do love you, Logan. I love you with all my heart. I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father saw fit to give us your gift. I'm grateful he put your little spirit into our keeping and blessed us with you forever. To this day mommy still can't hear the song "Godspeed" by the Dixie Chicks or "Bring the world his Truth." without bursting into tears. I picture dancing with you at your wedding to the Dixie Chicks song and the one that kills me is the second song. I picture you with your fellow missionaries in the MTC singing this song to Your Heavenly Father. Do you see how soft you've made me...(I bet nana's laughing at this now to see what a sap her heartless daughter has become.) I Love you Logan, you're my little Knight in Shining Armor. You've made me one of the happiest people in the world. Happy Birthday My sweet, sweet Logan.

A Sweet Little Moment

We've got the Puny's at our house (how ever you're supposed to spell that. Everyone is sick!) Forrest is spending a little moment with the boys and tells me to come out to take a picture, this is what I found. A sweet little Daddy and Sons moment! Makes you say, awwwww. Forrest is sporting the Mountain Man look again! *meow*
