There's a scent for everyone. I love Scentsy, it's safe for my kids to be around and I can leave it on when I'm not home! Plus, there's so many awesome scents I always have a hard time picking just one!

Who's a Big Boy Now?

I am so proud of my little buddy Logan!!! Just like everything else this kid has done cold turkey in his life, Nursing, Pacifiers, Big Boy Beds! He's decided to potty train himself. He's been wearing big boy underware for about 2 1/2 weeks now! I'm so excited, I don't even know what started it! I think I made a really big deal of it when he wen't #2 in the potty one day (just like usual!) Then, the next thing I know, we're in Target and he's telling me "I have to go potty mommy!" We didn't hesitate, we ran for the potty. Mommy even made a big deal right there in the store! I'm so proud of my little mister! He's even been wearing his big boy underware to bed! and being dry in the morning! For Christmas, he even got some Spiderman undies that he picked out, from Nana! He was just tickled! Way to go Logan, I'm so proud of you! (phew, little tear going there! *sigh, I've turned into my mother*)

Snow, Christmas and more!

All right, I hate uploading pictures onto here cause it takes forever and a day. Then you get it all on here and you have to edit, edit, edit. ARGH. Well, here are some pictures that were in the camera!
Our Christmas lights outside the house. Yes, there are several out and not all the lights are on. heheee
I thought these pictures were gorgeous.

It's like the memories you have as a child, well me anyway cause I'm weird like that, of how cool the snow looks ontop of Christmas Lights.

this icicle hanging on the side of the house was about 3-4 feet long and about 3 inches around. Before it broke off today it was almost to the ground and about 6 inches around.

The snow around our house right after we had that 18 inches of snow over night!!

Our bush outfront of our window covered in snow.

My mantle this year with 4 stockings instead of 3. Micah's is off to the right out of the picture. Whoops.

Cute little crochetted animals that I've been working on. This is a turtle obviously
And this was my first one, a little octopus. I made him on Thanksgiving with my sister's in law who also love to crochet, we went yarn store hopping and found this CUTE book on amigurumi animals. I can't wait to make all of them!

An Important Message This Time Of Year

Ok, I hate trying to put stupid movies on here. Does anyone know an easier way to post youtube videos on your blog? For some reason I can't copy that whole embed thing, and I'm not going to try and code the darn thing! But, what I had was that this video is terrific. My mother sends it out every year and it's got an important message for us. As they say, out of the mouths of babes! This little 12 year old boy has a wisdom that few possess at that age and it's far beyond his little years. I hope that this touches your heart like it does mine, every time I listen to it. Be forwarned, get out some Kleenex!

Get Ready! Big Update!

All right, well now that I'm on a different computer, one that has a USB port and a memory card slot, I can finally upload some pictures and such! So, be patient, here it goes!

Man, that stinking movie took ten years to upload. Micah's was relatively small. But took quite a while. I was going to upload another one, but thought I might witness flying cars before it loaded so I gave up. Here are a couple of pictures. Some from Micah's birth and so on I'll put captions next to them and everything so you know what's what.

Me in the hospital with my little friend Micah. Man, that was not that long ago, I can't believe he's already 3 months!!!
I love this picture of Micah. He looks so tiny and like Logan. I love the little outfits with the hats that have ears. This is probably the day he either got his picture taken or the day we went home.

This is us on the day that we went home. Boy were the emotions running wild that day. Isn't that how it always is with post partum?

Micah in his swing. He was so tiny, I just can't get over it. I don't know what's going on with these stupid captions. But I'm done fooling around with this thing, so I'll take em where I can get em!

This is just Logan being Logan. I love that kid, he's so funny!

Logan, His friend Radar and his Grandma all asleep at Forrest's sister Michelle's house. We went for Thanksgiving. Over to Seattle then down to Portland, that was so much fun!

Forrest, this is the hairiest I've ever seen him. His head, his face! Mountain Man For-J, Wahooo!

I love this picture of my boys. They're so cute. Logan is such a loving brother and Micah for the most part just lays there and takes it. They're so mellow, I just know that when I get my girl or 3rd child they're going to be the one that just is a firecracker. *goes to knock on some wood, real hard*

My cute, precious little Micah is really smiling now, he's starting to laugh now, and he's been trying to sit up! He's 3 months!!! When you put him in his seat or down, he lifts his upper body up off of what ever he's laying on!

See, this is the cuteness that I get to look forward too!

And yes, I am the sick freak that ordered all this snow. I love it. I didn't get to take any pictures of it yet, I took some video, but it took forever and ten years to upload so I said forget this and cancelled it! Like seriously, it took longer than an hour. Ridiculous or what? I'll go and take some pictures and upload them tomorrow!

Wednesday, December 17, 2008

Oh the weather outside is frightful!

yes, I'm one of those sick people in love with the snow. I'm just delighted and tickled pink that it's been coming down all day and hasnt' let up! I LOVE IT!!! wahooo, keep going!
I took the boys to Target today and found an outfit for Logan that we MUST have, we'll be talking daddy into buying it. I tried just the jacket on him and about 4 women were gasping and oohing and aahhhing at him. we MUST have it.
another thing on the Logan front. He's told me twice today that he had to go potty. Once while we were at home he told me he had to poo poo and he went and sat on the toilet, of course I sweetened the deal with 2 hershey's kisses. One for telling me he had to go, and one for going. Then, while we were in Target he said, "no pee pee in my pants mommy, I promise." so I asked him if he had to go potty and he said yes. So I told him to hold it and we'd run to the potty. He was dry and he went in the potty, alot! so I let him pick out a treat at the store. Dare I hope this is the beginning of awesome potty training for him?

Loganism's

Ok, here are a few of the funny things Logan has said this week:

I was on my way out the door with Renee the other night, going to get stuff for GNO. Logan is in bed.
"Stay here mommy, take off your coat. It's time for bed, take off your clothes. It's time for bed."
ok, ya'll this isn't as bad as it sounds, I sleep in my undies.

On the way home from the Dr.s office today,
"no go home right now mommy. Got to the dr.s office."
"Why do we need to go to the dr's office, Logan?"
"Micah's penis is hurt mommy."
"What?!?!" Between controlled giggles
"Micah's penis is hurting."
"oh, ok, I think he'll be ok Logan."

and last but not least,
Trying to get him to come do something for me,
"I can't mommy, I hafa to go to school."

A little distressed.

Well, I'm just gunna put this out there. I'm massively sensitive about it. I'm losing a ton of hair. I'm trying not to cry right now. sorry. I don't know what it is, but everytime I brush my hair lately I get these huge clumps of hair that come out. It's really distressing. I know when you have a baby you don't lose hair for 9 months and then when you have the baby you start losing hair. But my goodness, I don't think you're supposed to lose this much! I don't know what to do. I don't wanna go bald!!!! I have an appointment with the dr on friday.

Monday, December 08, 2008

Ok, Ok, I love you too.

Lol, Ok, so I see that some people do indeed read my blog. Sorry to be a pissy whiner. (how ever you spell whiner.) I just wasn't sure if my posting was even doing any good or if I was just talking to hear myself talk. LOL. Ok, so I'll try and post some pictures on here, but unfortunately, our computer doesn't have a card reader for some unknown reason. Forrest needs to put one in. So, posting pictures is a little difficult and labor intensive for me.
Well, it's my favorite time of year again, I think that I've been doing the snow dance for weeks now to no avail. Yes, I know I'm one of those sick people who loves winter. It seems like the older I get the less I find Christmas fun. I mean, I still find it fun, but it seems as though a little more and more of the magic I felt as a child seems to be fading. I know that just means I'm getting older. But, I miss that feeling. The giddiness of it all. I think now that we have our own kids it may get a little better. Now that Logan's at the age where he can start appreciating all of it, I may get some of it back. I'm anxious to experience Christmas through my children's eyes. I know that now, I get to help them make those memories that I have. The kind where you look back and sigh and think just how exciting and ivigorating it used to be. I'm a little sad though, this Christmas isn't going to be that wonderful for us with all the bills we have. Medical, house, bills. yadda yadda. I know that Christmas is more than just the presents, but it doesn't stop me wanting to make it nice for the kids. But, you do what you can do right?
I feel like I want to get all crafty and such, man, am I feeling that bug!!!! I want to quilt and bake, but alas, if I were to bake I can't eat all the goodies I want. Curse you (LOVE YOU ) Weight Watchers!!!

all right, that's it for me for now.

Funniest Flipping Song!

Ok, last night I heard the funniest song I've ever heard. So, I added it to my blog music. Go down and click on the song called The Scotsman. You have to listen good to the lyrics cause he's got an accent. But, here are the lyrics for reference:
(You know you all love Gerard Butler so

here's a picture of him in a kilt!)

The Scotsman:

Well a Scotsman clad in kilt left a bar on evening fair

And one could tell by how we walked that he drunk more than his share

He fumbled round until he could no longer keep his feet

Then he stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street

Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh

He stumbled off into the grass to sleep beside the street

About that time two young and lovely girls just happend by

And one says to the other with a twinkle in her eye

See yon sleeping Scotsman so strong and handsome built

I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt

Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh

I wonder if it's true what they don't wear beneath the kilt

They crept up on that sleeping Scotsman quiet as could be

Lifted up his kilt about an inch so they could see

And there behold, for them to see, beneath his Scottish skirt

Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth

Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh

Was nothing more than God had graced him with upon his birth

They marveled for a moment, then one said we must be gone

Let's leave a present for our friend, before we move along

As a gift they left a blue silk ribbon, tied into a bow

Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show

Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh

Around the bonnie star, the Scots kilt did lift and show

Now the Scotsman woke to nature's call and stumbled towards a tree

Behind a bush, he lift his kilt and gawks at what he sees

And in a startled voice he says to what's before his eyes.

O lad I don't know where you been but I see you won first prize

Ring ding diddle diddle I de oh ring di diddly I oh

O lad I don't know where you been but I see you won first prize

hahah, I laughed so hard when I heard this song. I hope it made your day too!

Updates

Well, Micah had his 2 month appointment today. Since his last visit he's gained 3lbs and 12oz. making him now 11 lbs and 15 1/2 oz. While that may seem chubby for a two month old, he's only in the 25% for weight. He was 21 inches at his 2 week check up and has since grown another 3 inches. Now he's 24 inches and in the 50% for his height. So, he's not as tall as Logan was at this age, Logan was in the 95% at 2 months.

On the mama front, I went to Weight Watchers today for sure that I'd gained. I just couldn't believe that I could lose anything. But, I'm down another 2.8 lbs!!! I'm now at the lowest weight I've been in atleast 2 years! Making my weight loss since my last check up with Micah (at 9 months pregnant) I've lost about 30 lbs!!! I'm now below my lowest Weight Watchers weigh in before I got pregnant; and I'm also 3 lbs lower than my pre-baby weight! Look out High School Weight, HERE I COME!!!!!

Money, Money, Money

So, here comes a why me post. If you don't wanna hear about it, then leave now..LOL. So, as many of you know we just had our second child in September. We also just remodeled our house to pay off the PMI on our loan. Well....We were hoping to get the house appraised for 215 or so to make it worth remodeling and paying off the PMI. Well, we got our appraisal back and the house appraised for 202! So, now that we've borrowed 7k from Forrest's dad to help us pay for all these remodelings...it's not worth it. So, now we have his dad to pay back, we just got all our bills back from having Micah, there we owe about 6-8K. One of our renters just moved out and didn't pay her rent for this month, or fill her oil like she was supposed to, so, now we're out another thousand. Consequently to cover our bills this month we had to drain our savings...we're literally living on nothing. We have NO money. I have to go buy groceries every two weeks with $170 dollars, that includes gas, and diapers and wipes, leaving us with probably $50 for food for 2 weeks. To top all this funness off, I just looked at the WIC website to see the requirements...yeah, you guessed it, we make too much money to qualify for the help that we could REALLY use! by $800!!! I really don't know what we're going to do. We are just strapped for cash. I don't even know if we'll be having Christmas this year...this is pathetic.

How in the world do you not go crazy with a 2 year old? I realize it only gets worse once they're 3 but... come on! Logan is making me absolutely bonkers!! He's in the not listening stage, and I'm back to the yelling mommy phase again, it's like the only way I can get him to listen to me and I HATE it! I don't want to yell at my kid! I just want him to listen to me!!! I realize some of you have perfect children...how do I do it?

Family Pictures

Well, I'm totally excited, we're getting family pictures done tomorrow. A gal in our ward does pictures and she's pretty good. You can find some of her pictures on the Spears and the Hudson's Blogs below. It'll be nice to see how much Logan's grown since we last had them done. I'll post some on here when we get them done.
I'm starting to get into that Fall/Christmas crafty baking craze. I've decided that I'm going to do 2 paintings. One of each of the boys. I just need to get some pictures rounded up to do these. I'll post them when I'm done so you can see how they turned out. Other than that, not much is going on. I just went back to Weight Watchers on Wednesday and discovered that I only have 5 pounds left to go til I'm back to pre-baby weight; when they kicked me out for being pregnant. So, I'll have to get my resolve back up to get rid of all this fat again. One things for certain. I'm not going to be this fat the next time I get pregnant. Oy, it's just not worth it.

Oh the joys of a two year old

I love my son, but I swear, somedays I just want to sell him to the gypsies. (Hopefully this doesn't offend any of my gypsie readers, lol) I thought I should post again, not like anyone reads this anyway, but, oh well. I swear Logan finds the worst things he could possibly do, just so I can get angry at him. This morning, I slept in for a tiny bit. Gotta love those early morning feedings. So, usually he's pretty good and stays outta stuff. Well, this morning, Renee locked herself outta the house, so I had to get up and pack up the kiddies to drive across town to let her in (thankfully I did still have the key.) Anyway, so I go to get Logan ready and he's playing in the sink, like usual. Only this time, he's decided to empty my Oregano, Parsley and NUTMEG into the sink. Now, this wouldn't be so bad, if it hadn't been my nutmeg that he decided to dump, that crap's like $8 a bottle. ARGH! I realize that when they turn 3 it only gets worse. Joy of all joys, I can hardly wait!

The Sweetest Pictures

I think there is nothing sweeter than a father asleep with his babies:

The first daddy and baby sleeping photo. Daddy and Logan. I love how he's totally passed out like HE's the dead tired one!!!

Daddy with Micah. Dead asleep at the hospital! this seems to be a similar occurance for him.

Now, we'll see how closely Logan and Micah look alike.

Logan is on the left and Micah is on the right. There are subtle differences. But, they're definetly brothers.

Ode To Pacifiers

Oh, dear sweet pacifier, how I love you. You make my child sleep for more than an hour at a time. Dear pacifier, you are my life saver. You give me the sleep I need to keep from going insane through out the day.

Hospital Pictures

Here are the pictures they took of Micah at the hospital.

http://www.deaconessmedicalcenter.com/bf_main.aspx

Hopefully that should take you there. Those are some close up pictures of him. We haven't had a chance to get ours all on the computer yet. Micah is so sweet, he's a cuddler. He's got a wonderful disposition. Oh, I forgot to mention in the last post, he's got dark hair, not red like brother, but we'll see if that changes.

I just clicked on the link and it takes you to the homepage, just search September for the 9th and then click on my name.

Happy Days!!!!!!

Well, We're now a family of 4 officially. Our Sweet little boy was born on the 9th of September.

Welcome Micah Steven!
7lbs 9.5 ozs 19 inches long!
Here are a couple pictures of our big day!
The Pictures got all reversed and I have no desire to put them in order, so I'll just put my captions in under them anyway!

Yeah, I know, I look like crap in this picture, it's a wonder how cruddy you look after surgery!

I LOVE this picture. Logan with his little brother, you can see the boy Logan will be someday!

Kisses for Micah! He's so gentle wih him.

My little "mother hen" letting everyone know that the lights from the flashes were too bright for Micah's eyes.

Our first family pictures together!

Mommy and Son moment.

He was so much tinier than Logan. 13 and 1/2 oz. smaller!

I actually like this picture of me. I look happy, yet medicated!

Well, my water broke around 12 am on the 9th. We waited a little while to go to the hospital per the drs. orders, to make sure that it was my water actually breaking. We got to the hospital about 3am and were sitting in a bed waiting to see if my water had actually broken. I stood up to go to the bathroom and it started running down my legs. So, I guess that settled it. So, they admitted us and checked me and I was .5 cm dialated. LOL. niiiice. So, we tried to get some sleep, I had a couple contractions. Nothing major. I pretty much knew where we were headed by the time the dr. came in at 7 or 8 am. I hadn't had many contractions and my water had been broken for about 8 hours by then, so it was C-section time! So, they tried to get an IV in me, took them like 6 shots to get it cause I was dehydrated, cause they told me not to drink anything. The nurse tried, the anesthesiologist/nurse anesthitist tried and finally they had to get IV Therapy up there and he finally got it. So, they took me back and started getting me ready. The anesthesiologist had a fun time trying to get my spinal in, Forrest assures me theres about 6 needle holes in my back. But, after all the fun and games, we finally have our little boy. He's so sweet and soft. He's so lovey too. I'll have to post more pictures later, when I get more energy!

Vehicular Animalslaughter

Well, I feel I need to get this burden off my chest. I was driving to my dr's appt. on Wednesday, and a bird flew infront of my car, I was sure I'd hit it and that it was stuck in my grill. When I got to the dr's office and got out and checked fearing for the worse, I discovered no bird. Thank heavens, I was so worried!
So, we have the appointment, and I'm on the way home, when lo and behold, a squirrel darts out into the road and can't decide which way to go. I slow down and I swerve to avoid hitting it.
I have been driving for 12 years, I have now commited my first (unintentional) act of Vehicular Animalslaughter. I killed that squirrel. I killed one of Heavenly Father's furry little creatures. I feel so bad. I still feel bad. Atleast it wasn't someone's dog or cat, right?

It's Bettin' Time!

Ok, so I'm copying Brenda, Sue me! Since it's now September I figured I should probably put this up here. I'm hoping to go VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) but, I already have my C-Section scheduled for the 18th, in the event that I don't go into labor on my own. My actual Due Date is the 11th; Now, I don't know if it'll be fair to let someone pick the 18th or not, since that's kind of a guaranteed day. So, for now, you may all pick whatever day, EXCEPT the 18th that you think I'll have the baby. In addition to this information I'd also love you to pick how much you think he'll weigh, and how long he'll be. I'll think of some grand and somewhat glorious prize for the person that picks the right date, and the person that picks the closest measurements.

Here goes:

Sept 1- Already Passed
Sept 2- Already Passed
Sept 3- Already Passed
Sept 4- Already Passed
Sept 5- Already Passed

Dr. Appt. Update

Well, had my 38 week appointment today. Nothing new to report. I'm still pregnant, not dilated or effaced. No big surprise to me. Oh well, I guess we'll go when we go.

Let the fun begin!

I think I'm now beginning to understand what my friend Brenda is feeling. Just the last couple days I've noticed, my stomache muscles are hurting. It hurts to cough, sneeze and laugh. Not to mention walking sucks. I think I have now dropped. I think I look somewhat lower. I now have a healthy respect for contractions. This being my first experience with hopefully going natural (with drugs, but pushing the kid out the normal way) so all this is new to me. I don't remember any of this happening with Logan. But, yeah, I had one or two contractions last night, and when they say you'll know when you're having one, THEY'RE NOT KIDDING. Aye Chihuahua! I think that my guts were attempting to escape via my belly button! They didn't check me at the dr's office last week, as I'm trying to recover from an infection. Not a serious one, but they didn't want to disturb stuff while it was trying to heal. So, I guess we'll see how it goes at the 38 week appointment.

Bad Mommy

Alas, there is no good mommy post today. I think I may go crazy, literally and figuratively. My patience is nil, my two year old is two, I'm 9 months pregnant and I'm exhausted. My house is a mess, my nerves are shot, I'm not ready for this baby, I'm such a bad mom, how will I ever handle two?

Today's Musings....

Today is kind of a rant/why me/I don't know what blog. Forrest and I have come to a kind of conclusion of sorts...we must be annoying? or we stink? or people just generally don't like us. I told you, it's a why me blog today. We've kind of noticed that we never get invited to do stuff with other couples our age? Seems like we hear about all this fun stuff that happened over the weekend, or see pictures of stuff that people have done together and we've just drawn these conclusions. Now, this is not a plea for attention or what not. We'd just like to know what it is about us, that's off-putting? lol. I sound like a whiny little child don't I? I guess I'll just stop right there, so I don't make us look any worse...lol!!

Randomness

Well, not much for me to report on, except that now, I'm at the computer downstairs in the new office. YAY! We have an office again. I've been working on some baby blankets, crochetted and sewed the last couple days. As soon as I finish this post, I'll be back at my sewing machine again. Logan is blissfully asleep *hallelujah* and I'm down here typing away.
I've been toying lately with the idea of becoming a Scentsy consultant. It seems like it would be a good idea, Dori had a party a couple weeks ago and there seemed to be quite a few people that are interested/have heard about it. I like the product cause it's wickless. Hence, no fire, safe for kids to be around. I'm waiting for the scents that I did order at the party. I can't wait to smell them! I ordered one called Toasted Apple Butter. Let me tell you, I'm not one for apple smells normally, but WHOOOO WEEEEE, this one will be on re-order permanently for me. It smelled so good, I wanted to eat the wax! Anyway, we'll see how that goes.
We're also approaching the end of the pregnancy. HOLY COW!!!! Where did the time go on this one? I remember it going fast with Logan, but not THIS fast. I feel like I should be like 6 months along instead of 9!!!! We're still no where near ready for this little guy though and that's what frightens me. I hate the feeling of not being ready. I don't want him to come into the world feeling like he was second place or and after thought, you know? But, we have narrowed the names down quite a bit, the original list was:
Ammon
Caleb
Owen
Carson
Micah
Quinn
Fox
Ian
Elijah
Caden

We've now narrowed it down to:
Ammon
Owen
Micah
Fox
Elijah
Carson

Our two favorites are:
1. Owen
2. Micah
and Elijah being #3.

So, I guess we'll see how it goes. About as far as I've/we've gotten on baby prep are, getting registered at the hospital and if he doesn't come out via VBAC, then he's coming out via C-Section on the 12th of Sept. Logan's in his own room down the hall now and the baby's clothes have been washed and put away, that's about it.

argh!

Breaking Dawn

That's right, just wanted to rub it in. I currently hold this book in my hands....yes!!! I may be unavailable for the next several days!!!

Imposter!!!

I'm scared, I'm truly terrified and I wanted to tell you, there someone I don't know, living in my house. There's...some sort of imposter living in my house, I don't know where he came from, or who let him in. He looks strangely similar to my husband. Last night he told me, "We only have a couple things left to do this weekend, if we can get some of this list done we should go on a date." Thats when I knew, someone had kidnapped my beloved husband. The imposter was talking, a little later on that night, "It really doesn't matter how much we get done, we'll go on a date anyways." By now, I was well and truly scared. Someone has taken my husband and replaced him with some freakishly realistic replica. This replica later went on to spoon me while I slept last night, and helped me do a little gardening today. This just gets weirder and weirder, he just walked in and said to me, "I'm going to take a shower and get Logan ready, you decide where you want to go," Then sounding somewhat like my husband he said, "someplace cheap." I said, "How cheap" He said, "I don't care." which was followed by, "I still don't feel good."
I knew it!!! It must be aliens, that's the only explaination, the aliens have taken my husband and given me some weird, romantic? replica.

Stress

Argh, another whiny post. I feel so stressed out lately. My patience is like, null and void. I feel awful, because Logan is usually the cause of the patience being lost. Don't get me wrong I love my child beyond measure. He just makes me want to rip my hair out somedays. He doesn't deserve to be yelled at, which, I need to work on sometimes. Usually I'm pretty good and just use a stern voice to get him to listen. Lately he's just been a little stinker, as I mentioned in another post with the "Im not listening" phase of 2 year-oldness. It's so hot right now. I just have no energy to get out and do things. I blame the patience and the energy on being almost 9 months pregnant...*sigh*

Names, candles and Potty Training...

I know, original title. Well, we're winding down with the house project, we still have a tonnnnnn to do. But atleast there's light at the end of the tunnel. We've narrowed it down to mmm,6ish names. Theres still two that are kind of iffy and one that's been ruled off. So, our list now consists of:
Ammon
Fox
Elijah
Micah
Owen
Carson
Ian?
Caden?

Caleb has been excluded from the group!

On another note, I went to a Scentsy party last night. Woooo eeee, they have some good smells, I ordered, Lime Sublime, Toasted Apple Butter (YUM!!!), Falling Leaves and Vanilla Oak. I may have to order some Autumn Sunset and Coming Home. I love fall and spicy scents, those of you who know me well know this. Oh my some were hard to resist, others...not so much! I can't wait to get them, I'm such a smell hound! I know boring post, but it is what it is.
Oh, and if you wanted to check out the website it's,
www.scentsy.net

Well, I posted just the candle and name portion earlier and I thought about what else has been going on and decided I should probably talk about Logan's potty training antics lately. The day before yesterday, we were going to get him dressed and he had crawled up onto the chair by his dresser and was reaching into the top drawer. I asked what he was doing and he pulled out a pair of big boy underware and told me that he wanted to wear them. I asked him if he wanted to wear a pullup and he refused. So, I told him that he had to keep these big boy underware dry, that he could go pee pee or poo in them. So, the first day he did really well, The pee peeing was not a problem, it's the poo poo I'm worried about. So, we put a pullup on him for bed that night and then big boy undies on the next day. Again, the pee pee is not a problem. He's playing in his bedroom yesterday and I notice that he's been a little quiet. I go into his room and he's standing on his bed trying to get into his underware drawer, bare butted....I ask where his underware are that he just took off and he won't tell me. I can tell he's done something in them, just by the smell in his room. So, finally I get him to show me where they are, and they ended up behind the door....sneaky sneaky, like he know's he's done something wrong....
Anyway, so we take him to the potty and tell him, poopy goes in the toilet not in his underpants, mommy is very dissapointed in him that he didn't come and tell her that he had to poopy, blah, blah, blah. So we put a second pair of undies on him. He's good for most of the day, towards the end, he poops again....ARGH!!!
I'm so frustrated with this potty training thing!!! He cries when we put him in a pullup. He really wants to wear the undies, but he won't tell us whe he has to poop or pee in the toilet....Every time we take him potty he'll pee in the toilet and he's been doing that since he was 1! How do we get this to work???? I'm so frustrated!!!!

Chaos and Disorder

Argh, I just have to have a "vent" post. I can't get over how much stuff is going on in our lives right now! It's just insane. I'm having real emotional trouble lately. I realize that I am pregnant and it's probably just a lot of hormones speaking, blah, blah, blah. First off, we are almost in the finishing stages in the house. We've gotten the carpeting in, the walls all painted, well all but the wall by the back door. We've gotten doors all stained, doors put in the basement, baseboard and molding down, nail holes spackled. Then after this, in the next week, we have Logan's new room to paint, the landscaping outside the house, a fence to put in. I just can't handle all this chaos going on right now. We've got all the house and yard work to do, we need to move Logan into his new room, get the room ready for the baby, get the clothes ready for the baby, get his names narrowed down, get his clothes washed, folded and in the drawers, get a new bassinet, new swing, new baby harness/carrier thingy, bags and such packed for the hospital, Logan squared away for when we do have to go to the hospital, the baby packed for when we go to the hospital, we have to get registered at the hospital, I have parties to go to, the house to put back together, furniture to move in again, curtains to make, oh, and then theres the fact that we have to do like, military type cleaning for this inspection, so that we'll get refinanced. Boy won't that be fun at fat and 8 months with no energy pregnant?!?!?!?! Argh, the list goes on and on. I feel like I'm drowning in house work, our garage is packed, our dining room is packed with furniture, theres no where to sit. I just can't handle this chaos!!! I just want to rip my hair out, I can't take this. I think I had an anxiety or panic attack this morning. And now I have a two year old who is at the "I'm going to ignore you" Stage! AAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Then there were 8

Another short entry today. We've (I think) officially taken Liam out of the running for our next childs name. So, we're down to 8.
We've been working a lot on the house to get it ready to refinance. My goodness, when we took this project on last year, I wasn't thinking it would take this long. Last weekend we finally got 3/4 of the upstairs painted. We painted the livingroom, hallway, stairs and most of the kitchen but one wall on Saturday. Forrest spent last night working on staining the railing again. He's got a little patchwork to do in the dining room before we can paint the final wall. The downstairs was painted a couple days before the upstairs. Thursday we're getting the house carpeted, so Wednesday means furniture moving time, Yipppppeeeee!

Beautiful Song!

I just wanted to share this song. I know it was on someone elses blog too, but I found it and wanted to post it on mine, pause the music on the bottom!

In Love with Dr. Who

Ok, I love Dr. Who. I know it's a cheesy sci-fi kind of thing and its British, but I'm in love! We're in the middle of season 3 (or 4) and I'm foaming at the mouth to finish it, cause I know that *spoiler* one of the most beloved characters is coming back and I just can't wait. I know, stupid blog post, but, what ever, live with it. LOL.

No silly title here

While pregnancy is a really fun thing for me and I'm sure others. There is one thing that's a draw back. While you do get weird dreams, you also have very, very, very bad nightmares. I had the worst nightmare I have ever had in my entire life last night. It was so bad, I woke up crying and I couldn't stop crying for like 10 minutes. Relaying the dream to Forrest this morning had me crying again. It wasn't the typical misplaced the baby dream. Forrest and Logan weren't in danger, except I needed to make sure they were ok at the end. Suffice it to say, hundreds and hundreds of children (well boys rather) died in my dream. It was THE worst nightmare I've EVER had in my entire life. It was so real, I couldn't believe it. Just needed to get this out of there. I hope and pray that I'll never have a dream like that again.

Move Over Hugh!

It seems recently there is a new star in my dreams, no it's not Hugh Jackman as usual. It's a person of skinnier and odder proportions. I'm talking about the Dr. A.K.A. David Tennant(from BBC's Dr. Who). Recently we've been trying to save the world from Aliens and falling in love (what the heck is it with my dreams and falling in love with people? Does that mean I'm just a sappy romantic at heart?) except that pesky Rose just keeps coming back after the Dr.s gotten on with his life. (He still ends up with me *nah, nah, nah,na,nah,na* in the end.)Last nights dream was no different. We happened to find out a space ship full of aliens was behind us, following us, cause they knew the Dr. was in there. So my dad was driving us somewhere where we were going to outrun them and hide. The Dr. told us that the only way to be safe was that we had to put certain make up items on (???????) so he proceded to show us. First was a thick cover up all over your face, second a very pink lip stick on the mouth and third was eyeliner under the eye. Except he didn't have an eyeliner pencil so we had to use a micron pen (craft pen found at Michaels) So once we get to this house we have to hurry and put this other yellowish cover-up all over our bodies. For some reason this will protect us from the aliens. So, I finish greasing up the Dr.s entire body and the doorbell rings. We're all afraid to answer it, so we sent Rose. She comes back with this bewildered look on her face and doesn't say anything. We're trying to get her to tell us if it's the aliens, and then in behind her walks Audrianna Wise and Amy Talman (amy who I haven't seen since highschool) and they're all nicely dressed, they ask us why we haven't left for the dance yet? We're all puzzled and say what dance? and she said the church dance. So, we find out that the aliens have left and the dr. goes into the bathroom and it just sitting there and I go in to give him a ration of crap for making him do all this stuff. Rose comes in and try's to put her two cents in, but just keeps talking over me and I want to tell her to shut up. Anyway, I talk to the dr. for a minute and then we get ready to go to the dance. Well when we open the front door, we see the Fear Factor van and a huge buffet set up. The people must eat everything on the plate all the way down to the finish line. Mary was at the beginning and she had an egg roll in one hand and a chimichunga in the other, she was trying to find somewhere to put the eggroll so she could eat the other, which was hot. So she sticks the eggroll in her shirt...(lol) and is trying to take a huge (for those of you who know she can stick her fist in her mouth) bite of the chimi in her mouth and I find myself yelling go Mary go! My dad is also at the beginning with Mary and as I get to the other side I see various people I know. My dearly loved husband, Forrest is making his way down the buffet, putting everyone to shame. I believe he ended up winning. So, anyway, that was my date with the Dr.
lol such messed up dreams when you're pregnant!

Spicy Forrest

Forrest just took the spicy test and this is what he is.

You Are Black Pepper

You may be considered ordinary by some, but you're far from boring.

You elevate the mood of any discussion, and people miss you when you're not around.

You are secretly very dominant and powerful. Most can only take you in small doses.

Tomorrow's The Day.

Well let me first start off by saying, WHAT THE HECK IS UP WITH THE SNOW?!?!?!?!?! QUIT ALREADY, IT'S APRIL!!!!!!!

Ok, now that I've gotten that off my chest...Tomorrow is the big day. I'm nervous yet excited. I already know, I just know what it's going to be. So, lets see if I'm right. I hope all goes well and that it cooperates! They're going to make me drink 32oz. of water. The last time I drank that much, it hurt so bad to walk I thought I was going to cry. Now if they're pushing on my bladder, I just may wet myself. soooooooo... Anyway. That's it for now.

That's a Spicy Meata-Ball

You Are Oregano

You have are charming, funny, witty, and smart.

You love to party - and people love to party with you.

Feeeeeel the Endorphins Kronk....can you feel it?

wel, I'm in love with today. The sun is shining outside and it makes me feel all green-thumby. Ahhh, can't wait to plant stuff.
Well on another note, I went to the Dr. yesterday and they said that my 3hr glucose came back fine, I was so estatic I think I clapped for joy. The nurse laughed at me. The baby's heartbeat (when it wasn't moving ) was in the 160's at a fast count for her. Squirmy little thing. The dr. who was awfully young looking told me that they still wanted to do another test at 28 weeks. So, that's several more weeks without a sticking so my poor wittle arms can heal up.
They tried to schedule the ultrasound for when I was 19 weeks which would be next week, but to my horror and much expectedness, I do end up having to wait until the 22nd of April to find out. Man, it's like a Christmas present that it just sitting there tempting cause you just know theres something AWESOME inside, and you totally want to open it and find out what it is, but then someone tells you, you have to wait for 11 more days to open it. I think I just may go crazy waiting.
Well Forrest has been working a lot on the house. The basements looking pretty neat. He's put in the egress windows and framed the rooms in, now he's working on the sheet rocking. It's awfully cute to watch him work, cause someone likes to do what their daddy does. So Logan's got the tape measure that he shares with daddy and is helping him measure stuff and pound stuff in. He sits back and surveys the work with his hands on his hips and says...hmmm let's see. Then rubs his chin like daddy and then crosses his arms as he rubs his chin. It's so very mini-me and so very cute.

Logan's Imagination

So, the other day, I'm downstairs and Logan keeps trying to get the phone. I told him to use his own phone. The next thing I see is Logan, with his hand to his ear, this is the converstation that followed:
"hello?"
"Hi, Domini!!!"
"um...."
"333"
"um"
"blah, blah, gibberish"
"um"
"Ne ne? At home."
"um"
"333"
"blah, blah, gibberish"
"ok, bye bye" waves at his hand then pushes his hand like he's turning it off

That just cracked me up that he had a whole conversation with Dominic on his hand phone. It looks like we're just starting to enter the realm of make-believe. How fun!

Great....just great!

When you think life just can't get any better, the dr.s office calls with some wonderful news!
I went in a couple days ago and had my glucose test done. The nurse called me back today and let me know that I was going to be a lucky contestant of the 3 hour glucose test cause my levels were raised. Yippppeeee Kiiiii Yaaaayyyyy!
I'm praying that this doesn't turn into gestational diabetes, I didn't have it with Logan, granted I was about 20 lbs lighter then. I'm just worried about the effects it will have on the baby, being that it can be quite large if you don't watch what you're eating and doing.
Just...great!

Where's Noah When you need his ark?

Well, Renee was wondering when I was going to blog again. Here it is. I've had a fun week already? Monday morning had me up at 7 getting ready to get all the laundry done early in the day. I started the washer and walked out of the room. Upon leaving the laundry room not 10 seconds had passed when the washer starts to make a funny sound like it's winding down on a low battery or something, or struggling with a realllllly large load (which it wasn't) so I promptly go back into the laundry room to discover that the second flood has happened in my basement. There was water pouring out of the washer. After turning it off. I proceeded to mop up the water as fast as I could before it could reach the furnace, which is right next to the washer. Luckily I corraled the water with some towels and proceeded mopping. Two and a half hours later, after mopping, dumping pails, wringing out towels that weighed what felt like 10 tons, wringing out all the clothes in the washer that weighed 10 tons and ladeling out the rest of the water into a pail. I was finished. Thanks to that little fun escapade, I have a back that hurts so bad I can hardly stand up. Do I get any sympathy from my husband? ....um,duh....NO! I tell you what, never mind, I'm not even going to go into that subject.
So, the second lovely part of the day comes with Logan in my room watching Clifford. The next thing I hear is him screaming. He comes out of my bedroom just crying his fool head off, rubbing his eyes that are red. He comes closer and I think I've already discovered what the problem is without him even coming near me. He gets closer and I smell his face. You guessed it, my child has sprayed my perfume in his eyes. That took about 15 minutes to wash out.
So, theres my wonderful blog in a nutshell.

Baldness is in the forecast

Today's blog is going to be more of a rant. Brace yourself Effie. I wish I could have seen the future and seen what lay ahead for me with a two year old. Then maybe I could have prepared myself for it. I really am about at my wits end. I'm tired of my child not listening to me, just looking at me, ignoring me and doing whatever he wants. I know most would say "welcome to motherhood." this is not something I need to be told right now, thank you very much, try again. I'm tired of yelling to get him to do what I want him to do, as simple as picking something up. It's all a battle. I tell him things over and over and over and over. He just doesn't listen to me. Well, I think I've been a little leanient on the time outs. Believe me, those are going to be coming on in a big way. He has already been set in time out 4 times today for the SAME thing. Not listening to mommy and I'm sick of it. Forrest can tell him to do something and he'll do it within the first 1-2 times he's asked. What the heck? I realize I'm with him all day and he probably gets tired of me. But, I don't want to yell at him and I don't want to spank him. I'm losing my marbles and about to pull my hair out. All this stress surely can't be good for the baby!

I believe they call it "Spring Fever"

I know, I know it's been a long time since the last blog update. Ground me...lol.
Well, not too much to update on. I'm really boring. I've just entered my 4th month of pregnancy and I'm still loving it. It seems as though the time is flying by already. I can't believe we can find out what it is next month!!! I know what I'm hoping for, but I'll take what I get. It's weird to think that I should start feeling it move sometime soon too. Well, other than that, Forrest and I just celebrated our 7th anniversary! I can't believe how the time has flown. It's really bizarre to think it's already been almost 10 years!!!! We spent a couple nights at the CDA resort. It was really nice, they had a biiiiig bed and a fireplace. Our room had a private balcony and over looked the lake, It was awesome! It was really nice getting to spend the weekend with Forrest and it being just him and me (granted I missed my son a LOT) it was like we were newlyweds again, holding hands....it was sweet.
Back to the title of the blog. I am starting to get a little antsy for the weather to get a little warmer! I'm feeling the urge to weed and plant and just get my hands in the dirt. I want to pot stuff and see what blooms! My tulips (which I keep forgetting we have til they pop up every year) are starting to poke out of the ground. I'm anxious to see if my irises bloom this year and if I didn't kill my roses and lavender over the winter!(crossing my fingers)I've found that I am having a liking for gardening as well, thanks to my mother in law and her green thumbs! I'm also looking forward to planting with Renee! LOL!

Oh Hugh....

Great title no? Well, I must say, one of the best parts about being pregnant is the wild/vivid dreams that you get. Mine are doozies, let me tell you. Well, last nights dream star is no stranger to my dreams (for some reason???? Just ask Renee) it was none other than: Hugh Jackman!

for some unknown reason, he likes to star in my dreams...last nights was...radical! I'll not tell you 1/2 of it, to save on the embarassment factor. But, we had started out as kitchen servants in some ritzy house in the 40's. All I know is that it was love from first sight. (lol, it's so weird to relay a dream) We kept staring at eachother through the kitchen and would make excuses to have to bring something over near the other all the time, though neither of us had told the other how we felt. It was just a weird and giddy kind of feeling in me every time I looked over at him, then he'd catch me staring and smile. He had long hair during that time. Much like the picture up there, wasn't as tall cause he was still relatively young in that portion of the dream. Then flash forward though all the embarassing stuff...lol. We had ended up getting married and I had started a career as a dancing girl (?!?!?!?!?) and he was working at a farm that used to be his families (his name in the dream was Sam Meyer, don't ask me why I remember this...) anyway. He was pretty wealthy. For some reason we had divorced for a couple years and I was devastated. I think it was because he didn't like the idea of me being a dancing girl. (go figure..lol)Then forward a couple more years, I hadn't seen him in a while and I was headlining some show in Vegas and I was on stage and everything was decorated all silvery and shimmery, kind of like a disco ball in the spotlight? and the next thing that I know the announcer comes on and says something like "ladies and gentlemen we have a special interuption" and I was all confused, wondering what the heck was going on, and the next thing I know there's a spotlight on me and he's suddenly standing in front of me. This part of the dream was so odd. It's like all the senses are there and you swear you're actually in that moment right then. I remember looking up at him, he had a white shirt on and was clean shaven like the other picture. When I looked up at him, it literally took my breath away. I can't even describe the feeling that I had in that moment. I was soooooo in love with him and relieved to see him and I just wanted to throw my arms around him and squeeze him so tight. Then there's a microphone in his hand and he starts on some long eloquent speech full of flowery words and love (I'm not kidding, I was sap, literally melting.) and his eyes were....wow. He was totally in love, you could see it! and he was telling me how he missed me and he was sorry we hadn't lasted. Then suddenly he's on one knee and asking me to marry him again. I can hear the people in the audience gasping and sniffling (it really was quite a good speech). I even remember what the rings looked like, there were 4 of them for our past our present our future and our forever. the first three were their own little tiny solitare things blue, yellow and red. The 4th was a thick silver braided band. It was pretty. He couldn't get them all on my finger cause they were tiny, tiny, tiny. Only the thick one fit. Then I said absolutely, I'll marry you again. ( I sounded southern...???) I was so happy. I got a big kiss (hubba hubba) and the audience was clapping and whistling and we were smiling into eachothers faces...then Forrest woke me up! always happens in the best dreams!
So, anyway. I loved that dream, not JUST because Hugh Jackman was in it, but because of all the feelings that were in it. I could have sworn at several points that it was real. So, that's one major plus of being pregnant. Awesome dreams. I know, I know, I'm crazy, blah, blah, blah. ETC.
Now, if Christian Bale were to star in my dreams, well, I wouldn't be telling you any of this...HAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAA!!!
